Cambodia — Pick One Device to Learn On

Exness runs on Android, iPhone, Mac, Windows and in a browser, and a beginner does not need all of them. Choosing one place to practise — and using the phone only to watch what is already open — removes a surprising amount of early confusion.

Install one thing, not five. The account is the same everywhere, so multiplying setups adds no capability and does add ways to get lost. For most beginners the answer is a computer or the browser platform for the practice run, with the phone kept for checking and closing positions that are already open.

Setting up the one device you chose

Which one should a first-timer install?

For a practice run the honest answer is the biggest screen you own, because a plan depends on reading levels that a handset hides. The Exness Trade app (Android and iOS) is the right tool for watching and closing a position that is already open. For the demo run itself, on a computer, MetaTrader 5 or MetaTrader 4 installs on Windows and macOS for advanced charting, while the Exness Terminal runs in any browser with nothing to download. Google Play and the App Store are the official app sources; an APK from a third-party site such as apkpure is not recommended for a financial app.

Choosing between them without overthinking it

If a computer is available, use it for the demo run: the chart has room, the order ticket is readable and the lot size is typed rather than tapped.

If no computer is available, the browser platform on the largest screen you have is the next best thing, and it installs nothing at all.

The phone is a management tool. It is genuinely good at checking an open position, moving a protective level and closing a trade, and genuinely bad at choosing one.

What is worth doing on the day of the install

Sign in, connect the demo account, and place one practice order with a stop loss and a take profit attached before sending it. That single action is the whole point of the setup.

Leave the live account out of the first weeks. The install is not the beginning of trading; the demo run is.

Questions a first-time trader asks

Which device should a beginner install first?
Whichever has the biggest screen available. Charts and the order ticket both read badly on a phone, and a first plan depends on reading them properly.
Is anything lost by using the browser platform instead of installing?
Saved templates and custom indicators, which belong to installed terminals. Nothing about the account or the practice run changes.
Should the app be installed at the same time?
It can be, as long as its job is defined: watching and closing positions that are already open, not choosing new ones.
