CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Trade only with money you can afford to lose.

What to Trade First — and What to Leave Alone — Cambodia

A beginner does not need 100+ instruments. Narrowing to one market makes a first plan testable; everything else can wait until the plan has produced evidence.

A beginner's instrument list should be one line long. Exness offers 100+ forex pairs plus metals, cryptocurrencies, energies, stock and index CFDs, all tradable long or short — but a plan can only be tested if it is tested on one market, at one time of day, for several weeks. Major currency pairs are the usual first choice; gold, crypto and index CFDs each change how far price travels in a session, and therefore what a given lot size risks.

Choosing one market, then staying there

Choosing the one, then defending the choice

The instrument is chosen from the schedule backwards. Pick the hours you can genuinely be at a screen, then pick a market that actually moves during them; a market that does its work while you are asleep cannot be traded to a plan, only guessed at.

Once chosen, the instrument stays fixed for the whole demo run. Switching markets after a bad week destroys the only thing the run was producing — a comparable set of trades under one set of rules.

Reading an instrument before adding it: what you see, what to check, what to do

What you seeWhat to checkNext step
A major currency pairWhether it moves during the hours you are freeKeep it as the single instrument for the whole demo run
Gold (XAU/USD)How far it travels in a normal day compared with a major pairIf it is added, cut the lot size rather than keeping the same one
A cryptocurrency CFDThat it trades at weekends, so a position has no natural pauseLeave it out of a first plan, or close before the weekend
A stock or index CFDThe session hours, which are shorter than the forex weekOnly add it if those hours match the ones you can watch

Direction is a decision on every one of them: CFDs can be traded long or short.

Questions a first-time trader asks

How many instruments should a beginner trade?
One, for the whole demo run. A plan tested across several markets at once produces a result that cannot be attributed to anything.
Why are major currency pairs the usual starting point?
They move in a familiar rhythm during predictable sessions and carry the tightest spreads a beginner will see, which makes the effect of the plan easier to separate from the effect of costs.
Is gold a bad first instrument?
It is not bad, it is bigger. Gold travels much further in a day than a major pair, so the same lot size puts a different amount of money at risk and the stop has to sit further away.
What changes with a cryptocurrency CFD?
It trades around the clock including weekends, so an open position never gets a natural pause. That is a demanding setting for a first month.

What traders say about trading with Exness:

★★★★★
Trade instruments or tactical tools. It’s a great app but it would be nice if y’all add those trading tools like arrows and resistance to it thank you

Muy mala la última actualización. Antes se podía saltar de instrumento a instrumento desde los gráficos, ahora tenés que ir al panel de inicio para cambiar de instrumento.
